Our Kiwanis club participates in a variety of projects throughout the year that involve fundraising, community service, and assisting children locally and worldwide.  Additionally, we have speakers at our weekly meetings to explore topics of interest to the membership. We engage in a number of social activities to share experiences, talents and our collective interests. All represent great opportunities for service, friendships and personal growth.

Below are some of the projects and activities in which we are currently involved:

Stars of Tomorrow - An event to showcase the talents of our local youth from kindergarten through twelfth grades.  The performers are judged and cash prizes are awarded to the top three in each division.

Books & Breakfast - The Riverton Kiwanis family will come together to hold a Children's Literacy Breakfast.  The goal of this special day will be to increase awareness of the importance of reading to children and to bring families together to celebrate reading.  Each child will receive a nutritious meal and a free book for attending.  There are resources for parents, educational activities, crafts, and fun guest characters for families to interact with.

Kids Hooked on Fishing - Children of all ages come to fish at Big Bend Ponds in Riverton and receive a free lunch and goodie bag.  It is held on the 1st Saturday in June, in conjunction with Wyoming's free fishing day.  Club members register the children to win prizes.  Instructions and assistance are available to the children and some fishing gear is provided if needed.

Riverton Rendezvous Pancake Breakfast - Our club sponsors an affordable breakfast on Saturday and Sunday mornings at Riverton's Annual Balloon Rally held in July during our Rendezvous celebration.

Coats for Folks - Coats of all sizes and for all ages are collected in boxes around the community and are distributed each year in October or November.  They are available to the entire community.

Health & Wellness Fair - The Riverton Kiwanis Club has partnered with Wyoming Health Fairs in hosting monthly blood draws and an annual health and wellness fair at Central Wyoming College. The blood draws offer an affordable opportunity for members of our community to participate in screenings to monitor their overall health and wellness.
